We have persuaded some of the older members to recall stories of the many “real characters” who have been, and, in some cases still are, members of the Club. The scribe does not guarantee that the original facts have not been stretched a little in the telling, but it all goes to make a good story. In all cases, names have been changed to protect the guilty……….

I first met Annaleise in the summer of 2011 after she had completed the gruelling open water swim from Pottahawk to Turkey Point. She was only thirteen and I was so impressed with her endurance.
