BFC Wings Banquet 2012

On Friday, May 25th, the Brantford Flying Club held its annual Wings Banquet to honour the achievements of our club members.  The event, a long time tradition of the club, was held at the Airport Community Hall and was attended by our graduates, their families, members and staff.  A delicious meal was served after cocktails and we were entertained by the guest speaker Bill McBride, who shared with us many amusing accounts of flying in the good ol’ days.  The certificates were then presented by the staff to our new pilots and those who have advanced their flying qualifications.  Bob Ogilvie was presented with a painting of his aircraft in honour of his 30 years of dedication to BFC as our ground school instructor.  After the formalities, the evening was capped off with entertainment by a DJ.

The Wings Banquet is one of the club’s most significant events, as demonstrated by the impressive list of graduates listed below.  Congratulations to the staff for their excellent training of our pilots.  Thank you to Dawn for organizing the event and if you missed it this year, mark it on your calendar and plan to attend next year.
