Private Career College

Did you know that the Brantford Flight Centre is a registered Private Career College with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities?
Private career colleges are independent private organizations that offer post-secondary training and education programs. The Private Career College Act governs private career colleges. This act ensures the PCC meets certain standards for the programs they offer as well as advertising, refund policies and instructor qualifications. The Brantford Flying Club has 2 programs approved by the MTCU; Commercial Pilots License and Class IV Instructor Rating.
All Flight Training Units that offer the CPL and/or Instructor training must be registered and have the program approved. If the FTU is not registered and is offering and unapproved program it is breaking the law and the students will not be protected under the Private Career College Act.
How do you know if your FTU is an approved Private Career College?

- Does the FTU have a PCC approval certificate available for viewing? Ask the Chief Flight Instructor, they should be able to show you the certificate
Unfortunately, it costs the Brantford Flying Club to be a private career college. These fees are passed along to the students enrolled in the approved programs. You will see on our course outlines - PCC Fee. This fee helps the club recover the accounting and administrative costs to offer you those programs. BFC offers payment plans of the $1,500 fee as 30 payments of $50.00. The fee must be paid before the training is completed.
