A student must be 14 years old to apply for a Student Permit to train for a Recreational Pilot Permit as a Private Pilot.
Application for the Student Permit is made automatically, following successful completion of a medical examination by a Transport Canada Approved Doctor. Fees for medical examinations (usually $125.00-200.00) are payable to the examining Doctor.
The Brantford Flight Centre Ground School is a comprehensive training course in our bright and spacious classroom. The Ground School Course takes advantage of an Audio-Visual System and is conducted on Monday evenings from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The course runs for 19 weeks which provides 57 hours of instruction. Subjects covered include: Meteorology, Navigation, Airframes, Engines, Airmanship, Theory of flight and use of Radios.
